As part of World Hand Hygiene Day, Yenice Primary and Secondary School was visited to raise awareness of hygiene in the community, and hand hygiene training was provided to the students.
During the visit, students were introduced to 112 Emergency Medical Services equipment; they were informed about the materials used in ambulances, stretcher use, and emergency intervention procedures. In addition, students received training on basic first aid topics and the Heimlich maneuver, which should be applied in cases of airway obstruction, to raise awareness.
As part of the event, teachers were also informed about basic first aid practices, correct intervention methods in emergencies, and the application of the Heimlich maneuver.
The Head of the District Community Health Center/Chief Physician Gamze Tüten, Hospital Manager Oğuz Kaan Kuzubaşlı, and their administrative team also participated in the event and supported the program.
It was stated that these types of training and awareness activities aimed at strengthening community health will continue.
